Lake Erie, Presque Isle

spent a great day at presque isle on lake erie, yesterday.
presque isle is a lovely 6 mile long peninsula with miles of beach to enjoy and explore.

Where is Home

most of the paintings posted lately are derived from the week i spent in columbus at the ap studio summer institute. this painting is the last that is directly inspired from that week.

more however are in the works, based on ideas which germinated with the passing of my father and with practical applications learned in columbus with additional exploration of my own.

Beans and Guitar Shots

a fine day in the sedivy garden. the purple beans, the yellow beans and the lovely, rich yellow of the patty pan squash. yum....the colors are edible.
then there is the sound of guitar. gotta love it.

Shaman and Morning Web

Walking through the yard this morning, bright sunshine and plenty of moisture from yesterday's heavy rains.
I finished Shaman yesterday. The play w/ textures, scratching in the surface arrangement of shapes is both fun and challanging. The original composition is a collage.
