No walls. Next year at this time, walls! The view is unobstructed, gives a real cozy winter feeling doesn't it?
We bought this woodburning stove from friend who got a great price for it at an auction. Not providing much warmth now, but once it's painted and in a corner.....I want to elevate it on a low platform so there is seating around it. Tiles behind it and on the platform...imagine the cat sleeping nearby. The crackle of burning logs. Nice!!
It is with humble gratitude for this peaceful, amazing dream/reality that I ask you to head over to Zoom's Blog. Over in my sidebar. (Since I can't get the link to work, sometimes I just don't have that tech savvy.) Zooms puts it all in perspective. Check out her 2nd to last post.
Lastly...
May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain was awy your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being,
May you walk gently throught the world and
know its beauty all the days of your life.
Apache Blessing.

it is so fabulous to sit in your studio without walls and to dream the dream of next summer and what will surely be the sanctuary you now see in your mind's eye...what a beautiful space it is.
ReplyDeleteThanks Iona! It is and will be a beautiful space. The ideas I have for the gardens around it...With the subzero temps we're having right now (seems like a different planet), summer seems like a surreal dream!
ReplyDeleteso you wanna here something funny? im supposed to interview you for the newspaper, and the article's due tuesday. i was told about this on wednesday. so, i was wondering if you would possibly want to answer 6 questions so i could type it up and you could read it on tuesday before i turn it in. cause we have a funny schedule tues and i dont know if i'll be able to interview you then. so if you check your blog let me know if you can either call me (would take like 10 minutes) or i'll email you the questions and you email me the answers i guess... or you could just say no and then i'll not have an article for tuesday... (which i guess would be ok too seeing as they didn't tell me till three days ago)
ReplyDeletep.s. sorry to be such a pain, but this time it wasn't really my fault... :D
